Gino Boccasile
Gino Boccasile (1901-1952) was one of the most prolific propagandists of Fascist Italy.
He began his career as a commercial illustrator, moving from his hometown of Bari to Milan and then onto Paris, where he began to produce erotic illustrations, notably for the Paris Tabou. He moved back to Milan and began to gain greater recognition for his design work, mostly advertisements and magazine covers.

He seems to have begun producing Fascist propaganda in the early 1940s, though the bulk of his work was produced under the Italian Social Republic (RSI), established in Northern Italy in 1943 following the collapse of the Fascist government. The RSI was a German puppet state and many of Boccasile's designs from the period emphasise friendship with Germany. His designs were published on posters and postcards, ranging from recruitment posters for the Italian SS (in which he enlisted) to more generic designs condemning the Allies.
